Our marketing plan

Bring business buyers to the right merch partners.

A directory needs more than distributors. It needs businesses with real projects. Our plan is to build both sides: capable distributors and the buyers looking for their expertise.

Planned approach · Updated September 12, 2026

These are intended channels and priorities, not a report of campaigns already running, secured partnerships or guaranteed results. Spending depends on available funds, distributor coverage and what testing shows.

Business buyers first

Specific projects. Relevant audiences.

Our primary audience is B2B: people buying branded merchandise for their organizations. We plan to begin with a few project types and audiences where the directory can offer useful choices, then expand based on evidence.

Meet buyers with a project in mind

Test focused Google Search campaigns around business needs such as employee welcome kits, trade-show merchandise and corporate gifts. Connect each campaign to a useful page and distributors with relevant capabilities.

Reach the people who buy for businesses

Use LinkedIn content, direct business outreach and referrals to reach marketing, HR, events and procurement teams, alongside business owners. Consider selected paid LinkedIn tests when budget and results support them.

Build relationships beyond the promo industry

Explore chambers of commerce, business networks, event-planner and HR communities, and relevant newsletters. Start with practical conversations about buyer needs, not broad consumer advertising.

Make useful content work over time

Develop helpful project guides and specialty pages that answer business buyers’ questions. Use permission-based follow-up and referrals to encourage repeat use, with case studies only when the people involved approve them.

Where industry organizations fit

We plan to explore outreach and advertising opportunities with PPAI, ASI and other relevant organizations to introduce iMerch Finder to the industry and recruit distributors. This complements our separate effort to reach business buyers; it does not replace it.

No affiliation, endorsement, partnership or promotional arrangement with those organizations is claimed. Any opportunity depends on eligibility, agreement and budget.

How we fund growth

More members can help expand buyer outreach.

Paid membership revenue supports operating the platform, human review and member support, as well as planned buyer-acquisition work. As revenue grows, we can increase investment where results justify it.

Membership is not a dedicated advertising fund, an individual ad credit or a promise that a fixed percentage of each payment will be spent on advertising. Marketing can benefit the whole directory. Membership does not guarantee leads, orders, sales or return on investment, and payment cannot buy vetting approval.

What we intend to measure

Start with small, measurable tests. Review what brings useful business inquiries before increasing spending.

  • Relevant buyer inquiries, not just visits or downloads.
  • Distributor responses and buyer-reported usefulness.
  • Cost per relevant inquiry when paid campaigns run.
  • Repeat buyer use and reported outcomes, when people choose to share them.

We plan to share aggregate progress as meaningful evidence becomes available. These are measurement goals, not existing campaign results or a promise of an individual reporting dashboard. Private project and contact information will not be published in marketing reports.

Website and mobile app

One launch plan. More ways to connect.

Our October 1, 2026 launch plan includes both the website and the mobile app. The app is in development; download links will be added only when the corresponding store release is approved and available. Store approval and availability are not yet confirmed.

App-store listings will provide a way to discover and download the app. They are not a substitute for reaching buyers ourselves, and store featuring or promotion is not guaranteed.
